It’s no secret that the United States struggles with gun control. In this course, we understand gun violence in the context of GBV and explore how gun control can potentially be used to save lives and #StopGBV. We first explore the relationship between gun violence and intimate partner violence in the US. We then look into how gun violence is a significant concern for many sexual and gender minorities in the US. Then, we explore the existing gun laws in place. Finally, we look at gun control and its effectiveness in preventing GBV.
