The United States is the country with the highest number of immigrants, making it a melting pot of different cultures. There are many reasons why a person may decide to move to another country and start a new life, but in this course series, we come to understand that many people, women especially, flee their home countries because of experiences of gender-based violence.

The immigration process as it stands in the United States is nowhere near perfect, especially for survivors of gender-based violence. In this course, you will learn about different reforms that can better support immigrant survivors and some of the effective advocacy responses around immigration and gender-based violence.
