Sexual violence in schools and on campus is a pressing civil rights issue: when students suffer sexual assault and harassment, they are deprived of equal and free access to an education. Colleges and universities play an outsize role in young adults’ lives. As such, colleges and universities have the critical responsibility to ensure campuses are safe. In this course, you will learn about Title IX—the main system in place to prevent GBV in educational settings. You will learn about recent conversations around Title IX and important guiding principles for public policy response to GBV.
